The Fort Vermilion School Division has always been a supporter of our local communities which includes our local vendors and Central Office will endeavour to analyze the distribution of cash flow to create every opportunity for all local vendors.
The Fort Vermilion School Division will post on this page any Division purchase requests for products and/or services of $75,000 or greater. The posting will be advertised for a minimum of two weeks giving businesses an opportunity to view and potentially bid. Bid instructions are outlined on each individual advertisement.
After the bid deadline, all bids are opened by the Associate Superintendent of Finance or designate. The decision on the selection of product or service will occur every 2 weeks at the Manager’s meetings in consultation with the Superintendent and Associate Superintendent of Finance. The successful bidder may not be the lowest bidder, as other factors such as service quality and availability will be considered. After review and the acceptance of the successful bid, all vendors that submitted a bid will be notified of the decision.
