Application Process
Click HERE to register with FVSD on ApplyToEducation. If you are already registered, please proceed to Step 2 to submit your application to the job posting(s).
To complete your online profile, you will be asked to upload the following:
- Cover letter
- Resume
- Practicum reports and/or teaching evaluations
- Alberta Teaching Certificate
- Names and contact information (including current email) of three professional references
Once you have created your online profile you must apply to the specific job posting(s) to be considered for employment within FVSD.
- Log into your ApplyToEducation account.
- Click 'Job Postings' on the navigation bar and select 'Search Jobs'.
- Select the job posting title of the job that you would like to apply for and click the 'Apply' button at the bottom of the page.
NOTE: Jobs that you have applied to successfully will appear in your 'Job Application Log' in the Job Posting section.

Additional Applications and Required forms
Teachers new to Alberta and the profession must apply for certification from Alberta Education. Please click the button below to apply and make your payment online directly to Alberta Education.
New FVSD Teachers must provide a copy of their Alberta Teaching Certificate to the Human Resources department.
The Teacher Qualifications Service (TQS) is the agency in Alberta responsible for evaluating a teacher's years of education for salary purposes. This Statement of Qualifications is available by applying to the Alberta Teachers' Association. Please click the button to apply.
Teachers new to the Fort Vermilion School Division must provide the Human Resources department with their TQS Statement of Qualifications.
In addition to the TQS evaluation of years of education, proof of teaching experience is also required to determine placement on the FVSD Salary Grid.
New Teachers, please send the following form to all previous school Board employers to be completed and returned to the Human Resources department.
