What does this mean for FVSD Schools?

MASKING: As of Monday, February 14 students of any age are no longer required to wear masks while at school during school hours or riding the bus. Masking requirements in all settings will also be removed for children 12 and under.

*PLEASE NOTE: Adults in school buildings are required to wear a mask, including staff and visitors.

SPORTS: There are no longer capacity limits for school sporting events. Schools are not allowing visitors from other schools to regular games yet, however there will be no restrictions on attendance for Basketball Divisional and Zones tournaments.

Spectators over the age of 12 are required to wear masks as set out by provincial guidelines as these events are considered public spaces.

*PLEASE NOTE: Some schools are still using a pass system for attending games, please check with your local school.

FACILITY RENTALS: Starting March 1, provided Step 2 measures go ahead, FVSD facilities such as gymnasiums will begin opening back up for rentals. Please check with your local schools for details after this date.
