Ridgeview Central School is hiring multiple Educational Assistants and one Librarian for the 2025-26 school year.
The Educational Assistant is part of a school team effectively supporting students in the Divisional priorities of Numeracy, Literacy, and Connectivity. Educational Assistants work with students in classrooms, individually, and in small groups as directed by School Administration.
Multiple positions to provide special needs one on one support and possibly one position to provide learning support and interventions. Duties are assigned according to student needs and may change at any time.
Schools within the Fort Vermilion School Division follow an inclusive education model. Students with diverse learning needs are included within the regular classroom setting wherever possible. Targeted and specialized supports and services are provided as required by individual students either within the regular classroom or in a specialized setting.
The Library Assistant is responsible to maintain the school library collection and help students and staff access library resources. The Library Assistant will work alongside other staff members to assist and supervise classes during their weekly library period.
Start Date: August 27, 2025
End Date: June 8, 2026
EA Hours: 32.5 hours per week
Librarian Hours: 24 hours per week
Preferred Qualifications:
- Grade 12 Diploma
- Educational Assistant Certificate or equivalent
- Knowledge or understanding of the following: mathematics at the k-9 grade levels, the science of reading, and social emotional supports for children
- Experience working with students in a school setting
- An ability to work collaboratively with school staff and parents in a confidential manner
- Evidence of successfully passing the Police-Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC)
- Evidence of successfully passing the Alberta Children’s Services Intervention Record Check (IRC) if you have/had children
Salary & Benefits:
- Salary is dependent upon qualifications and experience
