Additional Information:

The Fort Vermilion School Division Essential Services Department is seeking applicants for the position of Class 1 Driving Instructor. 

This position is open to both licensed instructors and individuals willing to take the required training to become a fully licensed Class 1 Instructor. 

The successful applicant will join a team of professionals teaching students the courses required to prepare them for a career in the trucking / transportation industry. The successful applicant will be paid while taking any required training including any expenses related to the training.

Start Date:  As soon as possible upon hire

Hours:  40 hours/week (flex shifts)

Qualifications:

• grade 12 diploma
• class 1 license
• excellent communication skills required
• able to work cooperatively as a part of a team and individually
• the ability to teach
• good written and oral skills
• knowledge of the trucking industry
• willingness to take, and pass the required training
• be able to successfully pass the required Police-Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC), and the Alberta Services Intervention Record Check (IRC) if you have children, prior to hire date.

Salary & Benefits:

• Salary Range dependent on qualifications and experience
• Benefits will be provided after 90 calendar days of employment
