Fort Vermilion Public School
Welcome Back to the 2024-2025 School Year!
As part of a new administration team, along with Mr. Morris, I am very excited about what this year holds for the staff and students of St. Mary's Catholic School and Fort Vermilion Public School!
Over the summer, the construction teams worked diligently, and the construction process is now nearing completion. This year, we are thrilled to have all students from ECS-12 under one roof. This brings us the exciting challenge of fostering unification and a strong school community within our building.
In addition to a newly completed school, this year brings several exciting changes. We have a shortened school year, participation in the collegiate model, our own equipment simulator, and the continuation of the Cree Language programming.
We will continue to prioritize increasing the literacy and numeracy skills of our students. The staff of St. Mary’s will be implementing new programming and focusing on small group instruction to better support the needs of our students.
Attendance is a crucial component of student success. We encourage families to make a concerted effort to ensure students attend school regularly. Our teachers are committed to creating engaging, relevant, and meaningful lessons for our students.
The staff at St. Mary's Catholic and Fort Vermilion Public Schools are dedicated to working alongside students, parents, and our community to create a learning environment where all students can thrive and take pride in their accomplishments.
If you have any questions, please contact me or our assistant principal, Mr. Morris. Our doors are always open.
Welcome back, and let’s make this school year great!
Sincerely,
Jenn Perry
Principal
